Get Paypal On Your Site AND RECEIVE PAYMENTS ONLINE

Click the PayPal for Business logo above to create a business account and be able to create PayPal buttons for your website; read the text below as a guide to start up:
If you want to receive payments online, PayPal owned by ebaY
is the easiest and cheapest way to do it.
You do not need a costly merchant account. You need only a bank account and your clients can pay you from their credit, debit or bank account (cash or chequing) in CA$, US$ or other currencies.
When someone makes a payment to you using PayPal, the payment gets credited to your PayPal account immediately less a transaction fee. The person paying is not charged.
So when you invoice your client CA$100, they pay you CA$100,
and you receive into your PayPal account approximately CA$96. (in CA$ the transaction fee usually ranges from 3.5 to 4.5%... in US$ the percentage is less because there is no currency exchange... so if you do most of your transactions in US$
then you might want to set up a US$ account at your bank)
When you want to transfer money from your PayPal account to your bank account you can do so via electronic fund transfer from your online PayPal account, and it usually takes
3-6 business days depending on your bank's system.
The first step is to set up a BUSINESS ACCOUNT (that allows you to receive Credit Card Payments) with PayPal... MAKE SURE you set up your PayPal account in the same name as your bank
account name otherwise you cannot transfer money to it.

After you set
up your account and you are logged into your PayPal account... go to MERCHANT TOOLS (the blue tab at the top of the page)
where you can make a variety of buttons.
If you want a single button that will allow
your clients to send you any amount of money they choose, then create a
"Donate" button. If you want them to send you specific amounts, you can
create a "Buy Now" button with a drop down list of various payment
options. Please see my examples here:
http://www.2358.ca/payment.htm
Note that I have substituted my button images in place of PayPal's because
I wanted specific labels on the buttons. You can do this during the button
making process.
Here are the basic steps. If you notice that any of the steps have changed please email me so that I can update this page.
LOG IN to your PayPal account
MERCHANT SERVICES (blue tab at top)
Choose
DONATE or BUY NOW
Select the "Accept
payment for" label
Fill in the "Name" field (eg: "Make a Payment")
You can leave ID/Number blank or give it an ID
Leave "Donation Amount" blank or add payment choices to drop
down list if you are creating a BUY NOW button.
Choose "Currency" (of your bank account)
Choose the default
shipping and tax from your profile.
Choose Secure Merchant account ID.
Click Create Button
Then copy and paste all of the "HTML CODE" that appears in the HTML BOX into an email and send it to me.
Note: All name fields must be entered otherwise the button will either
not work or will default to USD.
If you want to collect both CA$ and $US then create two buttons, one in each currency. Make sure you have 2 bank accounts (1 CA$ and 1 US$) listed in your PayPal account.
Here
are my finished buttons on my website:

check out pages.
If you want a shopping cart with
different buttons for different services or products at different fixed prices then from MERCHANT
SERVICES do the same thing as above and create multiple buttons as well
as an "Add to Cart" button.
But I suggest that you
use the "Donation" button or the "Buy Now" button with a drop
down box of payment choices until you have your ideas for a multiple button shopping cart system clearly worked out in advance and you have taken into account all the variables of tax, shipping, currency and fluctuating exchange rates or
any other condition that affects the final cost. If you do not plan this
out carefully, you will end up spending a lot of time rebuilding all your
buttons.
Also please note my fee for publishing PayPal buttons.
The "Donation"
or "Buy Now" with drop down payment choices buttons are a great way to interact with your potential clients and a
single button system keeps your payment transaction process very simple and straight forward.
