-
If you are a Canadian Resident add 5% GST.
-
If you want me to transfer an existing domain from another Registrar, I do not charge a transfer fee.
-
If you want only domain name registration service and not web design or web hosting service please advise me. I may want you to prepay before I register the domain.
-
If I don't know you, please prepay.
The prices above include my charges for all document filing, record keeping and correspondence activity with the Registrar or other agents (eg: CIRA). If you want a zero cost "subdomain" eg:
yourname.235.ca write me and read this.
NOTE: Renewal
Fees are the same as first time registration fees above, EXCEPT
if your domain is not renewed prior to the expiration date. If you fail
to pay for your renewal prior to the expiration date, it then requires an
additional US$125 to get your domain unsuspended. The alternative is to
wait 70-90 days until the domain is removed from the suspension list and
becomes available to anyone who wants to register it anew. The remaining
alternative is to abandon the suspended domain and register a different
domain so that your web files can be published. You cannot publish web
files to a suspended domain. If you want me to proceed with registering your domain name

Hosting Server Names (DNS) & IP Addresses If you want to register your own domain name and use my hosting service you must
in the registration process have your Registrar "point" to my hosting server names. They are:
Or later, after registration, you can log into your registry account and change the DNS "domain name servers". After setting up your hosting account on the server,
I will send you an email with the FTP login and password and other information you will need. UP TO PAGE INDEX The
Domain Name Registry Marketplace was decentralized in 1999 and since then, hundreds of registrars (maybe thousands) and their agents now provide domain name registry management services for TLDs (Top Level Domains
like .com .net .org) and ccTLDs (Country Codes like .ca .us etal).
Because the marketplace has been opened up to competition worldwide, prices for management services
(registering, renewing, transferring, record keeping and payment) are wide ranging as are levels of service. Some registrars are totally automated for efficiency but provide no phone support. It's the market place, "caveat emptor".
I
quote my registration prices in Canadian Currency and they fluctuate with the changes in the CA$ / US$ exchange rates. My posted CA$ registration rates are what you will be charged at the time of registration, invoiced
later in the month. Non-Residents of Canada pay no tax.
My rates for annual domain registration are not the very lowest but are in the bottom 50% range of registry fees (CA$9 to CA$39 for a .com !!! Note,
domain registrars usually quote their fees in US$... ie: US$7 to US$30 for a .com).
I charge a modest gratuity over my wholesale cost that goes towards my time for managing your registry account which can be extensive if problems
occur; and they do.
If you would rather take care of your own domain registration account management be sure to have your registrar's DNS (Domain Name System Registry) point to my hosting server names & IP
addresses if you plan on using my hosting service, and make sure your read all of their fine print and follow the registrar's instruction precisely otherwise in some cases you will find yourself in a long tedium of dealing with overly
zealous bureaucrats and a long thread of automated forms and paying more for your registry services than you had planned. See Registration Spammer Fraud
